Brief Bio



A lifelong cineaste, Dan has worked extensively as a film critic in print, radio and television. He has provided film reviews and commentary for WPLG-TV (ABC) Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, WLRN (NPR) Radio, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, New Orleans Times-Picayune and Miami Sun-Post. His film reviews are syndicated in ten states and he currently teaches Film History and Film Studies at Palm Beach Community College and the University of Phoenix. He has also appeared as “The Movie Critic” for Suncoast Video stores, for which he made weekly DVD recommendations that were broadcast in 350 stores nationwide. A member of the Florida Film Critics Circle, he studied film history and criticism at Bard College and the University of Miami, where he received his M.A. in Film Studies.
