The full list of subject categories is above.
Yes, our distribution is to overseas and Australian media outlets.
If your news release is submitted prior to 3pm on a business day, it will be transmitted to the media on the same day. If submitted later than 3pm then it will be sent by 10.30 am the next business day.
Yes. We can hold news releases and schedule transmission for a future time. They will be transmitted on the day they are submitted or by 10.30 am on the next business day.
A copy of your press release will be sent to you at the same time it is sent out to your selected media list.
News releases are sent as plain text in the body of the email, not as an attachment.
You cannot use any special formatting, bolding or colours. Emails are transmitted in "plain text" format only ( a requirement of the major newspapers).
To see what your release will look like as plain text, copy and paste it into "Notepad" or other plain text editor. Tidy up your paragraphs and line endings. Note that any tables you may have will not format properly in plain text. Bullet points and indenting will also be a problem. Tidy up your release in Notepad and copy it from there, straight into the text box on the submission form.
Yes. News releases are sent as plain text only and it is possible to include attachments or images/logos etc.
If you have images that you wish to make available to the media, we suggest you also post these on your website and refer to the web address where the image is to be found, as additional information within your media release.
No. Faxts Press only provides a broadcast service. It does not follow up your release for you , nor can it provide a list of contacts for your own follow up.

Your news release is reviewed by our staff to ensure it does not contain defamatory, slanderous, libellous or threatening content. News releases may be rejected for these reasons at the discretion of management.
The content of your release is also checked for suitability for your chosen subject categories. If inappropriate categories have been selected, we will contact you to discuss the matter and choose suitable alternatives. This process is likely to cause a delay to the sending of your release.
Faxts Press cannot guarantee that your news release will be used by the media. So much depends on how newsworthy your information is and what other news is breaking in the time you send your release. For example if you send your news release the same day an election is declared or when there is serious a terrorist attack, you can expect little airplay. However, on quiet news days you may get significant exposure.
Our Guarantee.
If you get no media exposure from your press release we will send it again for you at no charge, on a day you request. Please be aware that many specialty and trade magazines have a long lead time, and publication of your release may take over a month from the time you send it.
