Evidence of
man-made structures about 1.5 km below sea level and 80 km off the
southeast coast of Cyprus. Deep water sonar scanning had indicated
man-made structures on a submerged hill, including a 3km-long wall, a
walled hill summit and deep trenches, Sarmast claims.
The
story of Atlantis, the legendary utopia where Poseidon and
his 10 sons (5 pairs of twins) turned
Atlantis into a great civilization, which was eventually destroyed in ancient times,
has claimed to be found by American researcher Robert Sarmast off the southeast coast of the island of Cyprus.
Sarmast, a Los Angeles-based writer and author of "Discovery
of Atlantis: The Startling Case for the Island of Cyprus", believes he
may have found Acropolis Hill, the center of the ancient lost city of
Atlantis.
After
nearly ten years of study, Sarmast believes that the Mediterranean
basin was flooded in a deluge around 9,000 BC which submerged a
rectangular land mass he believes was Atlantis. "We're talking
about a 95% accuracy rate matching up
evidence with Plato's descriptions." That's either a huge coincidence,
or it's it," the researcher explained.
The island's location between Europe and
Asia makes it a very popular business
center, numerous seminars
and conferences are
held here throughout the year.
