As a new comprehensive resource for wine lovers, VINDUVIN will bring wineries and oenophiles together on the Internet as never before.
Aliso Viejo, CA: VINDUVIN, a new web site started by wine connoisseur John Kesoglou, is a single-point resource for wine lovers to learn more about wineries the world over.
“Wine is a fickle creation, and it could differ widely from one winery to another, even if those two wineries were right next to each other,” says Kesoglou, CEO of VINDUVIN. “Researching wineries is therefore incredibly important, and as a comprehensive web site, VINDUVIN will be an invaluable resource for wine lovers the world over”
Kesoglou himself has been familiar with wine ever since he was a little boy in Greece, growing up stomping grapes. He really became infatuated with the art of wine in 1997, when he went to Napa Valley California for the first time, while completing his undergraduate courses at San Jose State University. As he visited various Napa wineries, on a limited college budget, he scoured Internet and print publications for a comprehensive source that would identify the locations of all wineries in the area. He found that none existed; no single, global publication catalogued all wineries and made them accessible to wine lovers. Kesoglou started VINDUVIN (available at http://www.vinduvin.com) to fill that need.
The web site brings information about wineries in Europe and North America to every oenophile’s fingertips; while the section on North America is already online, Australia, New Zealand and Europe will be added soon, with the rest of the world to be added by the fourth quarter 2007. Aside from covering the basics – wine tasting, the history of wine, and the qualities of grapes – VINDUVIN also will feature a Virtual Wine Cellar, an online store, and a forum for its members. Monthly VINDUVIN newsletters also keep members updated about the latest in wine.
“Considering how complex and diverse the wine world is becoming today, a resource like VINDUVIN is an absolute necessity,” says Kesoglou. “Now wine aficionados can really keep tabs on their passionate quest to find that perfect bottle of wine.”
